Learn to SUP in a Day! Paddle boarding 101 for beginners or first-timers is a 90 minute thorough introduction to stand-up paddle, ideal for first-timers and those looking to improve their foundation. The calm waters of Biscayne Bay make it a perfect location for a beginners SUP lesson. This SUP lesson takes place on the calm, protected waters of Biscayne Bay, one of the best places in Miami to learn and build confidence on a paddle board. The session starts with essential SUP basics, including equipment orientation and proper paddle sizing. You will practice key skills on land such as correct paddle technique, balance, standing up, and safely getting on and off the board to then practice all you learned on the water. The lesson also covers when and where to paddle, reading conditions, and understanding weather factors. Safety is always a priority, and all instruction follows local and U.S. Coast Guard guidelines so you can enjoy the experience with confidence on the water.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation to allow ample time for equipment assignment and preparation so we can start the session on time.

Cancellations

All transactions are final, only rescheduling, no refunds only store credit. Changes to your booking must be made at least 24 hours in advance, please contact us for changes. Bookings may be rescheduled, but no refunds will be issued. SUP-Miami Paddleboard School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any session due to inclement weather, participant experience level, or safety concerns based on our instructors’ assessment upon arrival.
